The Women in Sustainability Leadership Awards (WSLA) is one of the most prestigious awards honoring leadership in sustainability across the globe. Past winners span multiple industries, businesses and disciplines: They range from prominent Fortune 500 executives, technology companies and politicians, to inventors, academia and women-owned businesses. Our winners are driven, dedicated and determined women fighting for the environment, social justice and equity while forming lifelong alliances and friendships. The WSLA Alumnae Group was created to unite all winners and extend the future footprint of the sustainability cause.

Meet the Winners

  • As a career-long green building professional, I can lose sight of how the built environment is only one aspect of what impacts planet, people, and prosperity. Being involved in WSLA Alumnae Group, and especially joining its Board of Directors, helps remind me both how broad and deep the field of sustainability can be. I am proud to be part of this multi-disciplinary, multi-talented community of women who work together toward the much greater good!

  • After living in the U.S. for 20 years, returning to Europe was a significant change. The professional network I had spent years building suddenly felt out of reach. Receiving my award in 2017 introduced me to incredible women through WSLA, which inspired me to refocus on my goal of serving on a corporate board. It has helped me to complete my board bio and target networking opportunities more strategically.
