Pamela Alabaster
SVP, Global Head of Sustainability and Social Impact, Mattel
Pam has over 25 years of experience building consumer brands, enhancing enterprise reputation, and building corporate sustainability practice. Recognized by TriplePundt and Forbes as among the Top Women in Sustainability/CSR, Pam creates value through the lens of sustainability and delivers results by identifying opportunities and managing risks throughout the entire value chain and product life cycle with a focus on ethical sourcing, product stewardship, efficient operations, GRI/SASB/ES&G reporting, stakeholder engagement, brand purpose and social impact programs.
Pam is SVP Global Head of Sustainability and Social Impact at Mattel, but has held executive roles in marketing, communications, corporate affairs, citizenship and sustainability at L’Oréal, The Estée Lauder Companies, Revlon, Centric Brands and Philip Morris.
Fahmida Bangert
Global Head of Circular Economy for Iron Mountain; ESG Lead for Asset Lifecycle Management (ITRenew)
Fahmida’s 20+ years of industry experience led her to become the Global Head of Circular Economy for Iron Mountain, and ESG Lead for Asset Lifecycle Management (ITRenew). In addition to corporate sustainable materials management initiatives, she spearheads cross-functional efforts to mitigate carbon and environmental impact for business, customers, and the value chain. Previously, she led Stanford University’s Office of Sustainability for 13 years, architecting programs in infrastructure, resource efficiency, reporting, digitization, individual engagement, and research integration to foster “university as a living lab”.
Her sustainability career started at UC Berkeley, building its first climate action program and a model for the University of California. Fahmida earned her B.A. from Smith College and an M.S. from the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara.
Heidi de Cienfuegos
Co-founder and Director, B100arquitectos
Heidi is an architect from El Salvador with a master’s degree in bioclimatic architecture, interior design, and business administration. She is the first LEED Professional, LEED Green Rater, TRUE Advisor and Living Future Professional accredited in El Salvador.
Her advocacy for bioclimatic architecture and sustainability started more than 13 years ago, after her specializations in Europe and USA. Founded with Rafael Cienfuegos, B100arquitectos - a creative sustainable design studio – is focused on bioclimatic architecture and sustainable design, as well as certifications in sustainable construction such as LEED, Living Future Challenge and WELL. She is currently working on more than 20 projects in the LEED certification process and has over 100 projects in sustainability in the region, as well as multiple international award-winning design projects including the first LEED Platinum project in El Salvador with the highest score in the region. Creating a more just and sustainable community in balance with nature is her passion, one project at a time.
Jill Dumain
Global VP Sustainability Solutions, SGS
With over three decades of sustainability experience, Jill Dumain holds the position of Global VP Sustainability Solutions for SGS, the leader in the testing, inspection, and certification industry. Jill accepted the role in 2021 after completing her time as bluesign technologies’ CEO.
Although Jill joined bluesign in January 2017, she has been a strong advocate of the company since its inception in 2000 and paved the way for Patagonia, Inc., to be its first brand member. She spent more than 27 years at Patagonia, holding senior positions in various areas, including textile research and development, and environmental strategy.
She has also held leadership and board positions at the Organic Exchange, Textile Exchange, and Outdoor Industry Association, and was Chairwoman of bluesign technologies’ Advisory Board from 2011 to 2017.
Carrie Harris
Head of Sustainability, British Airways
Carrie is a Chartered Environmentalist and Fellow of IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment) with over 20 years’ experience in aviation sustainability where she has delivered sector-leading outcomes in airport, air traffic control and airline roles.
Carrie joined British Airways as Head of Sustainability in December 2020 where she has established sustainability as a central focus of its corporate strategy with the creation and launch of BA Better World, the airline’s sustainability program. With a remit covering People, Planet and Responsible Business, highlights from her first year include the airline’s investment in hydrogen-powered aircraft, a new community investment fund, targets to improve gender and ethnic diversity, mapping the flightpath to net zero emissions including delivering the airline’s first flights powered directly by sustainable aviation fuels, and the unveiling of a unique BA Better World special liveried aircraft.
Grace Kwok
Chairman & Executive Director, Allied Sustainability and Environmental Consultants Group Limited
Grace’s strong bond with nature has been the driving force for her lifetime devotion to sustainable development. With training in environmental engineering and over 23 years’ experience as a sustainability professional, she is reputed for her pioneering sustainable design in Hong Kong and Asia-Pacific, using local and international green & healthy building rating tools. She advocates regenerative sustainability for the built environment and was the first LEED Fellow in Hong Kong.
Grace led AEC Group to become the first listed sustainability and environmental consultancy service provider in Hong Kong. She leverages ESG and green finance advisory to build climate resilience and accelerate net-zero transition, while contributing to the building sector globally through her roles as WGBC’s APN Net Zero Collaborator, LEED IEQ Technical Advisory Group, BRE ESG Advisors Club, IWBI Health Equity Advisory, and GRESB Real Estate Standards Committee.
Mili Majumdar
Managing Director, GBCI India; Senior Vice President, U.S Green Building Council
As Managing Director of the Green Business Certification Institute Pvt Ltd, India and Senior Vice President, USGBC, Mili is responsible for development, adaptation and outreach of LEED and other sustainability rating systems of GBCI and USGBC. She leads the LEED for Cities and Communities program at the global level. She is also responsible for customer coordination, education, training, and developing market adoption tools. She is adept in leading research programs and studies on sustainable buildings, health, well-being, and resilience.
An architecture graduate and a building technologies specialist, Mili has more than three decades of experience in the field of energy and environment with a focus on sustainable development of habitats. She has worked adeptly in the sectors of green buildings, climate resilient housing, city planning and urban transportation. She has led global teams to develop a portfolio of sustainability rating systems for habitats and allied systems that have been widely accepted in India and globally. She is a member of the Committee for formulation of energy conservation building codes for India and the Committee of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for revision and updating of National Building Code of India. She is Board Member of Global Buildings Performance Network, Paris, and of GBCI, India.
As a sustainability expert leading India’s thrust towards green buildings, Mili has been awarded the Construction World Woman of the Year 2011 by ASAPP media, and the Realty Plus Woman Icon in Sustainability 2021. Widely traveled, she has lectured in several national and international seminars and conferences.
Monica Nakielski
Vice President, Sustainability, Advocate Aurora Health
Monica has over 15 years of experience as a sustainability practitioner and consultant to Fortune 500 organizations, governments, institutions, and nonprofits. She and her team lead Advocate Aurora Health's sustainability strategy to create business, environmental, and societal value.
She currently serves as a Board Member of Healthy Building Network and is a steering committee member for Clean Production Action's Chemical Footprint project.
Monica has a bachelor’s degree in Medical Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a master’s in business administration from Simmons College, and a sustainability leadership certificate from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Cindy Wallis-Lage
Executive Director, Sustainability and Resilience, Black & Veatch
Cindy Wallis-Lage began her role as Executive Director, Sustainability and Resilience for Black & Veatch in January 2022 to accelerate an enterprise-wide focus on sustainability and resilience solutions to support clients in the water, energy, telecommunications, and transportation markets. The $3B employee-owned engineering, procurement, consulting, and construction company has a more than 100-year track record of innovation in developing and delivering sustainable infrastructure.
Previously Cindy served as the president of the company’s global water business between 2012 and 2021. As president, she was responsible for the leadership and management of the company’s global water organization.
Dr. Kath Williams
President, Kath Williams + Associates
Dr. Kath Williams has a diverse background in sustainability and implementation of high-performance building standards. She founded her consulting firm Kath Williams + Associates in 1999. She served six years as an early vice chair of USGBC and represented USGBC on the World Green Building Council Board, where she was elected President.
She has led 140 LEED-certified projects in 11 countries, producing 12 Platinums. Devoted to her work with Montana Native Tribes, she has led three tribal building teams to Platinum. Named a LEED Fellow in 2011, she was inducted into the India Green Building Hall of Fame in 2013.
Recently Kath facilitated the development of the legislative-mandated State of Montana’s High Performance Building Standards.
Bess Winston
Managing Director and Founder, Winston Agency
Bess Winston is a sought-after thought partner for iconic brands and blue-chip companies as they respond to shifting societal priorities around resilient and healthy communities, natural resource conservation and environmental stability, diversity and equality, and other global societal issues of our time.
With the team at the Winston Agency, the communications and advocacy firm she founded in 2013, Bess creates and leads high-profile campaigns and initiatives that advance reputations, manage and mitigate risk, build brand awareness, and influence stakeholders to act or think differently.
Bess studied Business Strategies for Environmental Sustainability at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and holds an M.S. from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and a B.A. in History from Tufts University.
